About Tropica Botanical Nursery

Tropica Botanical Nursery, formerly known as Tropica Mango Rare and Exotic Fruits, is a specialty plant nursery serving the East Valley of Arizona. We focus on tropical fruit trees, rare and hard-to-find varieties, and heat-adapted plants that thrive in desert conditions. Our selection includes mango, citrus, fig, pomegranate, guava, banana and other edible and ornamental plants suited for backyard growers and collectors alike.

We are a small, locally owned nursery dedicated to quality plants and practical growing advice for Arizona gardeners.

Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

An amazing nursery. The owner was knowledgeable and he took time to answer our questions and make suggestions! This is the place to go to... they have about everything!!!

Love this place! The people working there are always friendly and willing to help (if it's busy you might wait a bit because they seem to have 1 or 2 people working). Most of their stuff is fruiting plants. It's fun to stop in and see if they have any new or unique plants. Especially now that they are open on the weekends.

Place was nice and had a nice assortment/variety of fruit trees. The employees were very nice and helpful. They had tap to pay and made checkout easy.

Went and picked up a Blue Java banana and a pineapple. It was my first visit time out. The owner was friendly and gave plenty of information. Had a good laugh at the coffee plant.

Cool little nursery. Wish the hours were longer (most nurseries here close early in summer though it seems) but it has a variety of plants that aren't seen elsewhere around here and the prices aren't bad. Paid $10 even for a Moringa sapling that was about 2-3 feet tall. Prices of the other younger plants were comparable (most being 10) with some being more. The trees were fairly priced at about the expectable range (38-68 for most of the bigger sized ones). The man who was there to help stayed out of our hair for the most part which I approved of but he was quick to come help when we had questions and he gave us good info on the plants we had questions about. Be prepared to do a little safari-esque journey though as the aisles are small enough that the plants kind of grow across them haha.
